5 Thing To Bring Today:

Don’t hurl, Amber!

The two year wait is finally over! The 2010 Desert Dreams writing conference is here and I am a bundle of nerves, energy and butterflies. I am scared I’m going to forget something. In hopes of averting such a disaster:

5 Things I must bring to the conference today:

1. My Head! (We’ll be needing this one, Amber. Having your head will help you see, listen, learn and all importantly, smile!)

2. My Apron! (Tonight’s dinner isn’t just themed, it’s costume encouraged. After debating between a vamp and jilted bride, I decided on a desperate 50’s housewife. I’ve even perfected the smeared lipstick and crazy look in my eyes.)

3. Promo Tags! (The recipe cards with a free ebook coupon code and double sided door tags turned out so nice this time.)

4. Allergy Defense! (This year’s higher than normal pollen count is doing a number on my whole family.)

5. My Courage! (I’m naturally an introvert. Handing out those door tags and recipe cards will take loads of courage on my part, but I know it will also open the door to making invaluable connections. I can do this. Right? Right!)

  2. You were awesome, and the costume was great! So glad you won my “Fugly Fighting Kit”, too! It was great hanging with everyone and those who missed it SHOULD be jealous, ’cause it was fantabulous!
