More Ebook Good News

It feels like it’s all coming together. One of the hindrances of ebook popularity has been the electronic readers themselves. Kindle only works with Kindle which is different from iPhone and the Sony Reader. E-publishers thereby have had three differing formats to contend with to offer to customers. According to the NYTimes, Sony is taking the lead and creating a Reader to offer digital books in the more common, more user friendly ePub format. Not only that, fewer limitations will be forced on ebook purchasers in regard to copying and sharing. Book technology is finally catching up with music and film.

  1. This is excellent news! What format do publishers use when they offer e-books? Can you read a Harelquin ebook on a Kindle or Sony? I’m clueless.

    Thanks,
    Ann
